Silver Creek Photography has a library of hundreds of images that are available for many uses. This could include photos for editorial publications, calendars, advertising, or product packaging. Clients often require certain images on short notice, or need seasonal photos or those showing a particular location or activity. Fees for stock photos vary, depending on the use of the photo, print run, distribution area, and length of the license. The client purchases the right to reproduce the photo for the duration of the contract, while copyright remains with Silver Creek photography.
Some of the available images include aerial photos of many Ontario locations, equine photographs featuring all riding disciplines as well as many breeds of horses, landscapes, abstract images, plants & flowers, people or animals. Most of the photographs on this site are available as art prints. These are of exceptional quality, printed on archival papers of various types and textures. Standard prints are offered in a range of sizes, with a choice of matte or glossy photographic paper. Other choices include prints on acid free and PH balanced 100% cotton rag paper, a heavyweight paper similar to watercolour paper. This paper is archival, slightly textured, and brings life to the image beyond the standard photographic print. Canvas prints appear more three-dimensional, are also acid free and PH balanced, and are especially suitable for black & white photos or subjects with texture. The horse images print especially well on canvas. Ordering is easy – make your selection from the galleries, and “Buy Now” for on-line purchases. Orders can also be placed by phone or mail using the PDF order form.
The term giclee comes from the French verb “glicer” meaning “to squirt, to spray”. A Giclee print is an inkjet photograph of the highest quality, printed to exacting standards by specialist printers on archival paper and canvas. These papers are museum quality, produced by manufacturers such as Hahnemuhle and Museo Fine Art, among those considered to be the leaders in fine art papers.
The gallery of limited editions includes a very select group of images chosen for their originality and subject. While a few are digitally manipulated, most are representational photographs, with minimal editing to the image. These images speak to the viewer in a personal way, and are unsurpassed for quality.
Limited edition prints are offered in a print run of 20. Each print is signed and numbered, and can be ordered through the gallery, or by phone or mail.
